Anti Sexual Harassment Cell

The Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell organized an Awareness Class in association with IQAC and NSS No. 122 on 17th September 2025 at 1:30 PM in the college auditorium. The program was anchored by Ms. Arya Krishna V K (Second Year BSc Microbiology). The session began with a prayer by Ms. Maria Nandana and Ms. Josephine George, followed by a welcome address by Ms. Geena Jose, Co-ordinator. The inauguration was done by Rev. Fr. Shaju Kurisinkal (Manager). The session on “Zero Tolerance: Ending Sexual Harassment Together” was led by Mr. Rajesh, Assistant Sub Inspector of Police, SP Office, Aluva. The class focused on understanding sexual harassment, the POSH Act 2013, individual rights, institutional policies, and reporting mechanisms. Through case studies and interactive discussions, participants learned the importance of empathy, respect, professional boundaries, and collective responsibility in ensuring a harassment-free campus. The program highlighted the provisions of the POSH Act 2013, institutional policies, and the proper reporting mechanisms available within the college. Through interactive discussions and real-life examples, participants were guided on recognizing inappropriate behaviour, understanding professional boundaries, and supporting victims.
