The Foundation stone
The Foundation stone of the college was laid by Rt. Rev. Dr. Francis Kallrakkal, then Bishop on 21-02-2002. College building was blessed by Rt. Rev. Dr. Francis Kallrakkal on 24-10-2002 and started functioning with B.Sc. Microbiology and B.Sc. Biotechnology .
Courses
B.Sc. Electronics, B.Com. T&T, M.Sc Biotechnology and MTA courses were sanctioned in the year 2003.
MCom Course
A new programme M.Com (e-Commerce) was introduced in the year 2004. The building extension was done in the same year in order to meet the space requirements to start new courses. B.Sc. MLT, a four year programme was introduced in the year 2004.
Boys Hostel
In order to provide accommodation to students from far away places, a boys' hostel was started and named St. Paul's in August 2010. A mega exhibition was conducted in the college which was attended by thousands of students from various schools from Thrissur and Ernakulam districts.
Basketball court
To meet the sports requirements and coaching, well furnished concrete Basket ball court , Volley ball court & Shuttle Badminton court were built in 2011. Electronics Lab was renovated to accommodate the increased number of students. New courses B.Com. Computer Application, BCA and M.Sc. Microbiology were introduced in the year 2011. New college bus started its service from Irinjalakuda. Recognition was obtained from the Para Medical Council for B.Sc. MLT course in 2011 October. A new college bus started its service from Aluva.
Computer Lab Upgradation
The computer Lab was renovated to accommodate the increased number of students. Biotechnology, Microbiology and Biochemistry Laboratories were upgraded in 2012. A unit of National service Scheme (NSS) was sanctioned in 2012. A mini auditorium was built to conduct common functions and meetings.
Football Ground
College Football ground was inaugurated in the year 2014.
New Advanced Courses
B.Sc. Psychology, B.Com. Finance & Taxation and B.A. English Literature courses were started in the year 2015.
Councelling Centre
A counselling centre for students have been setup in the college under the supervision of professional counselors in the year 2016.
PSC Examination center
Won first prize in short film competiton conducted by Karunasai De-addction &Mental Health Research Institute. Approved as centre for PSC examinations IT Fest ENTREGA2K17 conducted & Bagged one university rank
College Fest
Refreshing course for teachers at Sameeksha was conducted in May 29th & 30th . College Fest was conducted. Kaiezhuthu magazine was published. College functioned as relief centre during flood New waiting shed for buses and student’s vehicle was constructed
New Course added
M Com F & T started. Well designed new seminar hall was inaugurated Bagged one university rank Seminar Hall Renovated.
Implemented Solar Panels
Solar Panels were fixed. Due to Corona virus infection regular classes suspended Online classes started Bagged four university ranks
Several Labs
New Microbiology class rooms (for UG and PG) and New labs(2 UG lab and 1 PG lab) On June 2021 in addition to the charge of Vice Principal, Dr. Rashmi PA has also been given the charge of Coordinator of Microbiology, Biotechnology and Psychology Departments and IQAC. International webinar on the topic Probiotics was conducted. Conference Hall, Room for Vice Principal & IQAC, Dining Hall, renovation of PG Class room of Biotechnology & Biochemistry, labs of Biotechnology & BCA etc were done.
Exhibitions
Exhibition Related to Food Microbiology Grabbed 7th and 9th rank in BSc Microbiology university examination Bus shelters, Car Parking area, Staff’s & Student’s Scooter parking areas were constructed
Canteen Rennovation & other
Orientation class for teachers held on 30/05/2023 at Kanakankadavu Resort. Resource person was Mr. Midhun Kambrath. Orientation class regarding HACCP training Road safety awareness class by Motor Vehicle Department, Mr. Vinod Kumar N was the resource person. Orientation class for parents of 1st year UG and PG conducted by Rev. Fr. Yesudas Pazhampilly Motivation class for 1st year UG and PG conducted by Mr. Santhosh Kumar K, SI of Police Antinarcotic class for 1st year UG and PG Recognised World Environment Day, World Blood Donation Day, National Reading Day, International Yoga Day, World Mental Health Day (ALMA FIESTA 2K23) Presentation fest SYMPHONIA “23 conducted from October 30th to Nov 3rd College Canteen renovated. Front of the college was paved with tiles Bagged eight university ranks ( two ranks in UG and six ranks in PG)
4 Year UG Initialised
Secured Two university ranks in BSc Microbiology( 3rd & 6th) 4 Year UG started Manager’s & Asst. Manager’s rooms shifted to first floor. Principal’s room shifted to ground floor Orientation Class for teachers conducted by Fr. Benny Chiramel SJ
Secured two university ranks in MTTM
Secured Four university ranks in BSc Biotechnology( 4th ,7th , 8th & 10th ranks) and M Sc microbiology (10th rank) Secured two university ranks in MTTM (3rd & 7th ranks) College library upgraded
Several Renovations
Language Lab established Mini theatre implemented College auditorium renovated Basket ball court, foot ball ground and volley ball court are renovated. ICT enabled class rooms in all the departments are implemented. Constitution of the Research & Development Cell in the college. Provides a well maintained and hygienic canteen facility.
